Welcome!
We are a small, local congregation of like-minded Christians with one goal: to reach heaven and the rest that God has promised us (Titus 1:2). We do so by following only the Bible, speaking where it speaks and remaining silent where it’s silent. We use no other creed book or catechism in our teaching (Galatians 1:8-9).
What to expect
The church of Christ is not a denomination. Therefore, we do not use instruments, light shows, or choirs in our worship. God has given us clear instructions as to how He wants to be worshiped (John 4:23-24) and how our worship should be carried out. At the Putnam County church of Christ, we worship through:
- Praying to God together (Acts 12:12)
- Singing hymns and spiritual songs (Ephesians 5:19)
- Preaching the Word of God (Titus 1:3)
- Partaking the Lord’s Supper every week (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
- Giving of our means as God has provided (2 Corinthians 9:7)
We also offer two Bible classes before and after the worship period.
