We are a small congregation that seeks to follow God through “the old paths, where the good way is” (Jeremiah 6:16) and to worship Him “in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24).
At the Putnam County church of Christ, we believe that God created the world in six, 24-hour days (Exodus 20:11); that mankind fell from grace in the Garden of Eden (Romans 5:12); that all mankind is sinful and worthy of death (Romans 3:23); that God sent Jesus, His only begotten Son, as a propitiation for our sins (1 John 4:9-10); that Jesus the Christ was crucified on Calvary, was bured in the tomb of Jospeh of Arimathea, and that He rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4); that He ascended up into heaven (Luke 24:51); that His church was established on Pentecost (Acts 2:40-47); and that Christ will return again (Acts 1:11).
We believe that “the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men” (Titus 2:11), but to obtain His free grace, one must:
*Hear the good news spoken by Christ through His word (Romans 10:14)
*Believe upon Him and the things that He taught (John 3:16)
*Repent of one’s sinful lifestyle (Acts 17:30)
*Confess Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God (Romans 10:10)
*Be baptized, by immersion, for the forgiveness of sins (1 Peter 3:21)
*Live faithfully in service to God (Revelation 2:10)
Have you obeyed the gospel of Christ (Romans 6:1-11)? If not, please come to one of our services and be saved today!
